"But again, that’s not a business model. It’s a tool that has enabled some reporters to do their jobs, and, using their expertise, they have produced good and valuable work. 

"I also know that our credibility and the trust of our audience is the only thing that separates us from anyone else. It is the only 'business model' that we have and that I am certain works: We trade good, accurate, interesting, human articles for money and attention. 

"The risks of offloading that trust to an AI in a careless way is the biggest possible risk factor that we could have as a business. 

"Having an article go out where someone goes 'Actually, a robot wrote this,' is one of the worst possible things that could ever happen to us, and so we have made the brave decision to not do that."
